More infoThis Nuits-Saint-Georges Aux Allots from Domaine Machard de Gramont comes from a plot of just under two hectares. Located in the northern part of the Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation, this terroir is characterised by clay-limestone soils with a high proportion of stones, providing optimal drainage and perfect ripeness for the grapes. The vinification process begins with a cold maceration stage to extract the aromas and colour, followed by temperature controlled fermentation in stainless steel vats. The wine is aged for 12 to 18 months in oak barrels, with around 20% new wood, adding a subtle touch of oak without overpowering the fruit.
On the nose, this wine reveals complex aromas of ripe red fruit, like cherry, strawberry, and raspberry, intertwined with spicy and lightly oaky notes. On the palate, it stands out with a solid tannic structure, balanced by fresh acidity and a long finish with hints of undergrowth and leather.
