Vin de France Chacha Zeroine 2021

The wine

The iconic Chacha cuvée is meticulously crafted from Chardonnay vines grown in the southern Beaujolais region. Here, each plot is cultivated with the greatest respect for the land and biodiversity. The same rigour applies to the long vinification process in the winery. The carefully harvested and sorted grapes are vinified with minimal intervention and no maceration. The grapes are directly pressed. The juice is then transferred to ferment into 500 litre oak casks. The wine will mature there for two years before bottling without fining or filtering and no added sulphur.
The pale colour with light golden reflections reveals a subtle nose of exquisite floral scents beautifully mingling with a superb minerality. On the palate, the fruity aromas are perfectly integrated in an unctuous texture, leading to a mineral, slightly saline finish.

Domaine Zeroine is located in the Jura. Rare and sought-after, this notably discreet estate has earned its reputation through the healthy cultivation of its grapes and its minimal, sometimes completely non-intervention, winemaking. A small gem waiting to be discovered!
