An elegant red wine with aromas of red fruit and spices, enhanced by a touch of minerality.
More infoThe Swartland region, located in the Western Cape province of South Africa, is world-renowned for its exceptional wines, marked by influences from a wide variety of terroirs. The Swartland terroir is a complex mix of schist and clay soils, which allow good drainage while conserving the necessary moisture during the droughts typical of the region. The grapes are harvested by hand when fully ripe. Once harvested, the grapes are destemmed and placed in stainless steel temperature-controlled vats for fermentation. The wine is then matured in used oak barrels for six months, which adds a touch of complexity and helps the aromas to integrate. The wine has a deep red colour. The nose is expressive and complex, marked by aromas of ripe red fruit, enhanced by hints of sweet spices. On the palate, this wine is supple and well-balanced, with a silky texture and fine tannins.
