More info

This Mercurey from Domaine Raphaël Corcia is made from vines planted in clay-limestone soil, offering optimal drainage and minerality. Harvests are carried out by hand before fermentation takes place at a low temperature, with one third of the grapes in stainless steel vats and the remaining two thirds in oak barrels, preserving freshness while adding aromatic complexity thanks to the wood. Ageing lasts between six and nine months giving the wine subtle hints of vanilla and bark, without overpowering the fruity and floral aromas of the Chardonnay.
Tasting Mercurey Le Pontot reveals citrus aromas, alongside hints of pears and peaches, and floral touches of acacia and lime blossom. On the palate, it is characterised by its silky texture and remarkable freshness, supported by an elegant minerality. This wine would pair perfectly with seafood dishes or poultry and fish dishes, as well as soft cheeses.
