The wine
One of the Côte de Beaune’s indispensable domains, Marc Colin has here created a Corton-Charlemagne with a pale, golden colour marked by hints of green. The complex nose reveals principal notes of flowers, fruits, and minerals. As for the palate, it reveals a lovely roundness and pleasant length. Superb after a good decade of ageing.
About the Producer Marc Colin
Of the many Colins in Burgundy, Domaine Marc Colin is perhaps the most famous. This Saint-Aubin estate asserted its reputation thanks to its high-flying whites. The winery has an impressive collection of terroirs in Chassagne, Puligny and several works of the mythical Montrachet. It is now his children, Caroline and Damien, who are at the head of the estate but they remain loyal to the property's identity. The quest for precision and accuracy is impressive, whether in the vineyard, during vinification or in the élevage. The red wines are also of a very high quality. A location which is not-to-be-missed in the Côte de Beaune.
