Gevrey-Chambertin Clos Prieur Dupont-Tisserandot (Domaine) Clos Prieur Dupont-Tisserandot 2011
The wine
Clos Prieur is grown in a clay-limestone soil on a holding of less than one hectare. The nose is reserved, but the mouth reveals great freshness interspersed with fruity, woody notes. This Gevrey-Chambertin is the product of 16-18 months' ageing in 100% new barrels.
About the Producer Dupont-Tisserandot
Domaine Dupont-Tisserandot has been run by the same family for four generations. It was bought by the Domaine Faiveley in 2013 but the teams remained in place, particularly Marie Françoise Guillard and Patricia Chevillon, who run the domaine. The 20 hectare vineyard has vines ranging from relatively old to old and it includes 20 different appellations. It extends from the north of the Côte de Nuits in Marsannay to the Côte de Beaune in Savigny-lès-Beaune.
