Cuvée Nicole Moncuit Vieilles Vignes Brut Pierre Moncuit 1989
The wine
As older vines offer low yields, the resulting wines are particularly concentrated. This racy champagne reveals the complexity and richness required to accompany both sweet and savoury dishes.
About the Producer Pierre Moncuit
Nicole Moncuit is one of the rare women winemakers in the region. Assisted by her daughter Valérie on the production side and her brother on the commercial side, she crafts her champagnes in a very individual way. This champagne house in the middle of the Côte des Blancs is known for the absence of reserve wine and use of 100% Chardonnay. The 20 hectare, family-owned vineyard is cultivated meticulously to produce distinguished and complex wines with delicate bubbles. Far from the spotlight, this limited production champagne is even more appealing because of its attractive price.
