Brut Millésimé Duval-Leroy 1996

The wine

Duval-Leroy's Brut Millésimé is a blend of Chardonnay (70%) from the Côte des Blancs and Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims and the Marne valley. Greenish-gold in colour, it offers powerful aromas of dried fruit, vanilla, cocoa and linden. This very well-balanced wine is robust and elegant, sinewy and fleshy, and also very long in the mouth.

About the Producer Duval-Leroy

Founded in 1859, this trading maison established in the Côte des Blancs in Vertus has remained family led. Run by Carol Duval, for twenty years she has not stopped raising her standards and shows rather surprising qualitative ambition. The very broad range innovates regularly (as with the Lady Rose, to be paired with desserts), and one can count on the constantly improving quality of the Brut Fleur de Champagne and the very interesting single-plot cuvées, done with considerable accuracy and authenticity.
