The wine
The origin of the name of this cuvée comes from the plot on which the old butterfly-shaped vines of Chenin blanc are planted. The nose delivers aromas of quince, exotic fruit and honey. On the palate, the balance between sugar and acidity is very successful. The finish offers a pretty good length.
About the Producer Château de Chamboureau
For the Savennières appellation, Château de Chamboureau is a historic domaine since it was founded over 400 years ago. In 2007, this 18 hectare vineyard was bought by a local businessman, Philip Fournier. Together with Domaine Jo Pithon, it is part of Domaine FL. Comprising several really wonderful parcels on fully south-facing hillside slopes, the vineyard is in part farmed organically.
