The wine

Le Morey-Saint-Denis En la Rue de Vergy is a charming cuvée with good ageing potential. It pairs especially well with rabbit or red meat dishes such as spicy leg of lamb. Its nose releases aromas of red berries with hints of spice and chocolate. It has a very refined palate with silky tannins and a rich texture.

About the Producer Bruno Clair

Bruno Clair is the grandson of Joseph Clair (from Domaine Clair Daü). He founded his own domain in 1979 in Marsannay before later inheriting some of the parcels from his grandfather's domain. The estate is thus made up of myriad, high-quality parcels, notably in Gevrey-Chambertin and Morey-Saint-Denis where some of the appellation's most prized vines are grown, both in red and white. Bruno Clair also cares for vineyards in Pernand-Vergelesses, Aloxe-Corton, and Fixin.
Excellent maturation and precise vinifications help to best express these magnificent terroirs. The wines made here are very precise and fine, with no lack of elegance or intensity.
This range is broad and varied; the rosé and Bourgogne blanc cuvées will go nicely at an aperitif, whilst the grands and premiers crus can be served with your very best recipes after a few years in the cellar.
