Vin de France Canta Manana Les Vins du Cabanon - Alain Castex 2017

The wine

This Canta Manana rosé comes from Domaine Les Vins du Cabanon and the talented producer Alain Catex. The vineyard is a single-hectare plain in Trouillas, south of Perpignan, on a terroir rich in clay and sand. The very old vines give limited yields, requiring a lot of work by hand.
The grapes are vinified with little intervention, and fermentation occurs only with wild yeasts. This natural rosé is a blend of Grenache gris, Grenache noir, Syrah, and Mourvèdre. The wine is not filtered or fined, and no sulphur is added.
The nose of this cuvée explodes with aromas of grapefruit and flowers. It is fresh and tonic on the palate. Overall, a pleasant and easy-drinking wine.
