The wine

This cuvée is raised in new oak fûts for 18 to 24 months. It boasts aromas of black fruits and toasty notes while the mouth is elegant, fresh and persistent. Cellar this wine for some years and you’ll be rewarded with supple tannins and evolved aromas.

About the Producer Bellefont-Belcier

Château Bellefont-Belcier is a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé which is spread over around 20 hectares of cool soils (clay and limestone) ideal for growing Merlot. It was created in the late 18th century by the Count of Belcier. The word Bellefont which was added to the name alludes to the nearby ‘belles fontaines' (beautiful fountains). In 1889, the Faure family bought the estate and brought the quality of the wines to among the finest in the appellation. 100 years later, the estate was again modernized.
