The wine

The commune of Meursault, in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, is renowned for its Chardonnay-based white wines. Château de Meursault draws its character from a classic Côte de Beaune clay-limestone terroir, shallow and well drained, which promotes slow, even ripening and enhances both aromatic concentration and mineral expression. In the winery, vinification is carried out with care. Following manual harvests and careful sorting, the grapes undergo gentle, progressive pressing, followed by settling to obtain clear musts. Alcoholic fermentation takes place spontaneously in French oak casks. The wine is then aged for around 12 months.
In the glass, the wine shows a pale yellow hue with subtle golden highlights. The nose opens with aromas of white flowers, pear, ripe apple and almond, complemented by lightly buttery and toasty notes from ageing. On the palate, the attack is generous and full, with a silky texture balanced by a fine mineral tension that brings freshness.

About the Producer Château de Meursault

The origins of the mythical Château de Meursault go back to the 11th century. Today, this domaine extends over 60 hectares of vines of Volnay, Beaune, Pommard, Aloxe Corton, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet, with many premier and grand crus. it has been owned by the Halley family since 2012.
