Western Cape Savage Girl Next Door Syrah 2024

The Girl Next Door cuvée offers a seductive sensory experience, perfect for those who enjoy expressive, well-balanced red wines. The Syrah grapes behind this wine are grown on a 0.38 hectare vineyard located 3.2 km from Fishhoek beach on the Cape Peninsula. This wine fully expresses its very windy maritime terroir.
Fermentation in open vats and conical barrels imparts additional complexity to this cuvée, which is then aged for 10 months in French oak casks and foudres (large capacity wooden tuns).
Rich aromas of dark berries such as blackberry and blueberry combine with hints of spice and pepper. On the palate, a velvety texture with supple tannins reveals concentrated flavours of black fruit, liquorice and a floral touch. This wine delivers impressive depth and vigour, with a lingering finish.
