The wine
This cuvée is produced from 80-year-old vines planted on the estate’s smallest parcel. The wine is aged in French oak for three years, bottled unfiltered, and then aged for another two years at the property before it is released onto the market. This is a very intense Cabernet Sauvignon combining notes of wild berries with very ripe fruits.
About the Producer Greenock Creek
Greenock Creek was established in 1988 by Michael and Annabelle Waugh, who started their venture with two wines: Creek Block Shiraz and Chardonnay. They both worked hard, without seeking accolades, with the sole aim of producing quality wines made exclusively from grapes grown on their own domaine. In 2016, their lives took a new turn when they founded a new cellar in the heart of Marananga, which is open to visitors.
