Comtes Lafon's Santenots-du-Milieu is a very colourful, rich, deep wine, with a beautiful tannic presence and remarkable elegance at the end of the mouth. It demonstrates the full scope of the domaine's red wine-making expertise. The vineyards which produce this cuvée were bought in several instalments by Jules Lafon (Dominique's great-grandfather, and the domaine's founder).

Established at the beginning of the 19th century by a wealthy amateur called Jules Lafon, the house is today directed by his great grandson, Dominique Lafon. It uses the same family traditions and covers 13 appellations. The domain has for a long time aimed to preserve the environment in its winemaking process. It now uses biodynamics and was officially classified "organic" in 1998.
