The wine
With an élevage in barrels (30% new wood) of 15-18 months, this Volnay premier cru unveils an aromatic bouquet marked by primary notes (red and black fruits, violet) which, after a bit of ageing, will develop into tertiary hints (leather, sous bois, mushrooms, spices). The ample palate is structured by tannins and has a lingering finish. We advise that this wine be aged for over ten years before being enjoyed alongside roasted dishes or characterful cheeses.
