Douro Tiara Niepoort 2024

This wine comes from the Douro, one of Portugal’s most prestigious wine regions. Classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is renowned for its steep terraced vineyards overlooking the Douro River, where vines thrive on schist and granite soils. This unique terroir produces wines of remarkable finesse. This iconic white is a blend of Códega do Larinho, Rabigato, Donzelinho Branco and Cercial. Harvested by hand, the grapes are carefully sorted before fermenting in small oak casks, preserving both the wine’s freshness and the aromatic expression of its terroir. The wine is then aged on fine lees for several months, adding depth and complexity.
The pale golden hue is bright and luminous. The nose reveals fresh aromas of citrus fruit, white orchard fruit and delicate floral notes. The palate is broad and beautifully balanced, lifted by a distinctive minerality and a vibrant finish.
