The wine
Three plots are used for the Meursault Village cuvée: "En Luraules", "En la Barre" and "La Petite Montagne", giving the blend an elegant mineral character. The wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation with ambient yeasts and malolactic fermentation is allowed. This is a superb Meursault Village from Comtes Lafon; more than a match for many premier crus.

Established at the beginning of the 19th century by a wealthy amateur called Jules Lafon, the house is today directed by his great grandson, Dominique Lafon. It uses the same family traditions and covers 13 appellations. The domain has for a long time aimed to preserve the environment in its winemaking process. It now uses biodynamics and was officially classified "organic" in 1998.
