A rosé perfect for pairing with food, vibrant and full of flavour, crafted from Sciaccarellu, one of Corsica’s finest native grape varieties.

More info

This characterful rosé is made exclusively from Sciaccarellu, the island’s flagship grape variety. The biodynamically farmed vines thrive on sandstone soils in Ponte Leccia, at an altitude of 300 metres, at the foot of mountains soaring to over 2,000 metres.
Made using the saignée method, it is vinified much like a white wine, with the grapes pressed immediately after the manual harvests, without any skin maceration. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats with native yeasts, before the wine spends six months ageing on its fine lees, also in stainless steel.
The result is a genuine rosé perfect for pairing with food with a deep pink hue, revealing aromas of red berries and spice underpinned by a pronounced mineral backbone. The palate is broad and vinous, yet retains remarkable freshness, showing superb balance in every sip. A vibrant, flavourful rosé that truly comes into its own at the table.

Ask Margaux, your digital sommelière, a question

In 2005, the best terroirs belonging to Domaine Vico, a 75-hectare estate managed by Jean-Marc and Manu Venturi, were separated from the estate to create Clos Venturi (28 hectares today). The vines once belonged to the Vico family (purchased in 1901) and were then bought by the Acquaviva Venturi family at the end of the 1980s. The estate’s goal is to highlight the diversity and characteristics of local varieties.
Today, the vines - Vermentino for the whites and Syrah, Niellucio and Sciaccarellu for the reds and rosés - are tended to with the greatest respect to produce unique, high-quality wines. Animals working in the vineyards, organic and biodynamic certificates, manual harvests, plot-by-plot selection and fermentation started by natural yeasts are just some of the methods at the estate. Vinification and maturation methods vary depending on what the winemaker chooses also helps set this estate, which is both the estate at the highest altitude in Corsica and the only one located in the centre of the Ile de Beauté IPG, apart.
