About the Producer Benoit Rosenberger
It’s a fact: Benoit Rosenberg is a man of audacity. In 2012, he settled in Auvergne to comprehend this region that is gradually making a name for itself. Little by little, Benoit Rosenberg himself started to attract attention. When a new face arrives in the region, it’s always quite an event. A happening that’s quickly the talk of Saint-Maurice, a commune to the south-east of Clermont-Ferrand. Benoit Rosenberg is a man of audacity. Originally from Sancerre and having proved himself elsewhere, Rosenberg spent a decade working in a more conventional way in Champagne before choosing to trust his instincts and make fine wines free of inputs. He started by banishing sulphur, the use of which he could no longer stand and which, in his view, distorts the character of wine. This has proved a successful choice, since over time, his wines have gained in finesse and elegance. Benoit Rosenberg owes part of his success to Frédéric Gounan, another local winemaker. We strongly recommend his wines, which show impressive authenticity and remarkable digestibility. Intense and complex, some dare to liken their character to that of their maker.
