The wine
This is a traditional rosé saignée and a real food-friendly wine. It blends organically grown Grenache and Cinsault grapes, which are vinified using traditional methods and indigenous yeasts. Juicy and fleshy in the mouth, it reveals lip-smacking spiced and fruity notes which offer great food pairing versatility.
About the Producer Les Bastides
Domaine Les Bastides, situated in the commune of Puy Sainte-Réparade just north of Aix-en-Provence, was acquired by a family of Provencal winemakers in 1967. Anne-Marie and Jean Salen produced their first vintage in 1976, having converted to organic viticulture in 1975. Today it is their daughter Carole who ably runs the domaine. Her winemaking eschews all artificial additions, ferments are spontaneous and their wines are matured slowly in large 50 hectolitre oak foudres.
