Intensity
A 100% Merlot which we rarely see: fruity aromas abound alongside mouth-watering notes of vanilla, chocolate and caramel. Intense and voluminous, Messiio is a wonderful way to discover the richness of the southern Tuscan terroirs.
More infoProduced in silty, pebble-rich clay soil in southern Tuscany, Messiio enjoys DOC (Denominazione de Origina Controllata) Maremma Toscana status. Matured for one year in French oak casks and six months in the bottle, this single-variety Merlot wine reveals an explosive nose of red berry aromas with vanilla touches. The intense, opulent palate evolves into notes of tobacco, chocolate and caramel.
About the Producer Tenuta Fertuna
This ambitious enterprise was carefully planned by several Tuscan winegrowers. Tenuta Fertuna was founded in 1997. Fertuna, which is a combination of the words “fertility” and “fortune”, not only produces quality wines but also makes olive oil and grows cereals. This is a tribute to the Etruscan civilisations of the past who shaped this rich terroir. This vineyard is located in the Maremma region in the heart of Tuscany and spans 50 hectares. A very reliable Tuscan wine.
