Abracadabrantesque is the word! This organic red agitates with southern personality, pairing very well with lamb tagine.
More infoAbracadabrantesque is a blend of two native varieties: Mourvèdre and Carignan. Their 30 year-old vines are grown according to organic methods and thrive on the clay-limestone soils of this domaine, yielding around 30 hl/ha. Harvests are manual and the fruit is meticulously sorted and de-stemmed prior to fermentation in Burgundian barrels and foudres for a year before bottling. This is a powerful, complex wine for either drinking young or cellaring for a good 10 years. An infinitely pleasurable food wine which pairs spectacularly well with lamb tagine.
About the Producer Les Terres Promises
Jean Christophe Comor started producing his certified organic wines in 2004, following a herculean effort cutting down trees, clearing stumps and preparing the land for replanting vines! One-time parisien and professor at the prestigious Sciences Po university, his winemaking whim has well and truly paid off; now producing wines with a unique character, elegance and complexity and in a style which improves with each vintage. One to watch.
