A subtle blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot create a cuvée that captures the finest flavours of the Fronsadais terroir.
More infoCuvée G Acte 8 is part of a line of wines produced by the family estate, aiming to showcase the finest qualities of their terroir. The estate started by identifying the most beautiful parcels which best captures the Fronsac terroir. They also replanted some vines. This led to the unveiling of a new line, including the G Acte 8 cuvée, produced from a precise blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes. Once hand-picked at peak ripeness and meticulously sorted, the grapes undergo a gentle maceration stage to extract the subtle aromas of the fruit. The cuvée is then aged for 15 months in barrels before being bottled.
The rich ruddy-red colour reveals an intense and deep bouquet displaying elegant fragrances of violet. The perfectly balanced mouthfeel reveals an uncommon aromatic expression combined with an unctuous texture, culminating in a concentrated and flavoursome finish.

About the Producer Château Grand Village
Château Grand Village is nestled in the heart of the Bordeaux winegrowing landscape, in Mouillac, alongside some of the region’s finest appellations. Sylvie and Jacques Guinaudeau took over the domain in 1979 and cultivate the 15 hectares of vines on clay-limestone soils with great passion. Helped by their son Baptiste and his wife Julie, they apply sustainable farming practices in the vineyards. Aware of today’s environmental challenges and with a view to protecting biodiversity, they cultivate each parcel with unique care, according to their needs, to allow each parcel to express its personality. Unsurprisingly, in the winery, vinification involves very little intervention, and sulphur is added in minute quantities to allow the fruit to fully express all its aromas naturally. It is in this privileged and authentic context that the domain produces exceptional vintages, reflecting a unique terroir sublimated by meticulous traditional expertise.
