Château Kirwan enjoys an international reputation, due to its exceptional terroir, the high technology used in the vineyard, and the meticulous care taken during the vinification process.
About the Producer Château Kirwan
Château Kirwan's vines still grow on exactly the same plots as when the vineyard was classified at the top of the Médoc third crus classés in 1855. The Schÿler family who manage the property have maintained their links with Denmark. The Schröders and the Schÿlers are Denmark's consuls in Bordeaux.The vineyard consists of a 35 hectare single block of vines, and enjoys an excellent aspect, with a high point of 20 metres on the Cantenac plateau. The vines planted include a significant proportion of Petit Verdot (10%).
