The clay imparts a certain density to the wine, which the limestone balances out with a mineral freshness.
In the winery, the wine matures for a year to 15 months in used casks, which prevent the wine from being too woody on the palate. With an average ageing potential of just under ten years, silky tannins, round, rich fruit and dynamic hints of sweet spices, this wine is sure to win you over.
