A Saint-Romain with great power on the palate and a deep, iconic minerality.
More infoThe Chardonnay vines, averaging some 40 years, thrive along a hillside opposite the Saint-Romain valley. Located at 300 to 340 metres above sea level, the vines grow on soils mostly consisting of limestone. This major characteristic of the Les Perrières vineyard is the source of the cuvée’s superb minerality. After having been harvested entirely by hand, the Chardonnay grapes are carefully sorted and then vinified limiting additives and human intervention to the utmost.
The slightly golden colour, with subtle sparkling reflections, reveals a bouquet characterised by scents of undergrowth, sublimated by an elegant mineral structure. White floral aromas and notes of damp stone delicately lead to a fresh and elegant finish. This cuvée will offer delicious aromas of toasted almonds and flint stone after a few years of cellaring.

About the Producer Henri et Gilles Buisson
Domaine Henri & Gilles Buisson is run by a very old family from Saint-Romain where it has been established since the 12th century. Franck and Frédérick, Gilles Buisson's sons, who currently run the family vineyard, embody the eighth generation of wine growers. The 19 hectares of vineyards that they have converted to organic farming extend over Saint-Romain, Pommard, Grand Cru Corton Charlemagne, Volnay Premier Cru and Beaune. This domaine produces high quality, classy and complex wines with good aging potential.
