What makes this wine special?

The domain’s discovered cuvée, fruity, fine and supple, intended to be drunk young, paired with red meat.

More info

This cuvée comes from the lieu-dit La Chevalière. It is vinified in vats (for 3-4 weeks) and then aged in non new oak barrels for 12 months. The nose expresses beautiful aromas of black fruits and smoky notes, while the palate offers a soft texture, a beautiful density and fine, delicate tannins. It is a wine which should be enjoyed when young, savouring the freshness of the fruit.

About the Producer Jasmin

★ Partner Producer

Patrick Jasmin represents the fourth generation of winegrowers in his family. He has been working at the vineyard he now runs with an expert hand since 1978. His 6-hectare property in Ampuis, birthplace of the finest Côte-Rôtie wines, is planted 95% to Syrah and 5% to Viognier. He practises sustainable viticulture, with low yields, and takes a somewhat artisan approach, carrying out all tasks on the steep hillsides by hand. He vinifies his grapes parcel by parcel and intervenes as little as possible. Patrick Jasmin favours aromatic finesse over power. His wines are elegant and supple with a very fresh and refined range of aromas that perfectly express the terroir's distinctive character. élevage processes are extensive (around 24 months) and light touch. These wines are very nice to drink young but also have excellent ageing potential.
