Made equally of Syrah and Grenache with extremely controlled yields (25 hl / ha), this Côtes-du-Vivarais is a classy wine, which showcases its generous aromas of black fruit. To produce it, the domain does manual harvesting, a 21-day maceration process in vats, then ageing in oak barrels for 14 to 15 months. This wine can easily be kept for about ten years in the cellar and it is best to open it one hour in advance.

He is now an exemplary figure in the vast Côtes du Vivrais. The limestone and clay rich soils of this Ardèche domaine produce beautifully balanced wines made from Grenache and Syrah. The entire range is superb, from the entry level wines to the single vineyard cuvées. As for the history of this domaine, Alain Gallety made his viticultural debut in 1974 with his father in an area that would become the Côtes du Vivarais appellation in 1999. Today Alain manages the 15 hectares organic domaine with his son David-Alexandre.
