Crozes-Hermitage Vieilles vignes Murinais (Domaine du) 2010
The wine
This Crozes-Hermitage is defined by its complexity and elegance. The Syrah which makes up this cuvée has traditionally vinified in concrete vats and aged in demi-muids for 18 months. This cuvée unfurls intense notes of red and black fruit and spices, as well as a dense palate balanced by wonderful freshness.
About the Producer Murinais
Domaine du Murinais has been in the family since 1768 and is run today by Luc Tardy and his wife, Catherine. Together they produce wine from their 17 hectares of vineyard in the Crozes-Hermitage appellation, continuing the ancestral methods practiced by their family and showing great respect for the soil and nature in their care. Harvest is done by hand and the fruit is scrupulously sorted before vinification.
