Cuvée Léa 1er Cru Brut Virginie Bergeronneau

The wine

Acclaimed for the precision and vibrancy of her wines, the award-winning Virginie Bergeronneau, the latest in a long lineage of Champagne growers, launched her own label in 2012. Cuvée Léa is a skilfully crafted blend, led by Pinot Meunier and complemented by Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
With a dosage of 8 g/L, this Brut Champagne is a gorgeous pink and exquisitely fine bubbles. The nose is dominated by aromas of white fruit and citrus, underpinned by rich, buttery pastry notes. The palate is delicate and well-balanced, with the fruit dimension lingering through to the finish.

Still relatively modest, this eponymous domain is managed masterfully by a young winemaker who hasn't wasted any time in adopting clean growing methods. Located in Villedommange, her domain has a High Environmental Value certificate, and the cuvées produced here are becoming gradually more coveted by wine enthusiasts seeking novelty and finesse. Thanks to her precise and carefull vinification methods, these wines loyally represent the characteristics and beauty of their terroir of origin.
