The floral, fruity and slightly spicy fragrance is beautifully driven by a fresh chalky minerality.
More infoMiraval, the name we tend to associate with Provence on account of its renowned rosé, known as Brad Pitt’s rosé, is also reflected in this Brut Rosé Champagne called Petite Fleur. The American actor has launched his own signature Champagne, under the guidance of the illustrious Rhône-Alpes Perrin family. This particular Champagne is a blend of 75% Chardonnay, topped up with Pinot Noir. The grapes were harvested in 2018 and the wine produced was matured on the lees for three years, the minimum required by the appellation’s specifications. It was then disgorged in May 2022 before dosage at 4.5 g of sugar per litre.
On tasting, the ER3 cuvée reveals a beautiful powdery pink colour exuding notes of small wild fruit complemented by floral hints. Citrus flavours add a touch of liveliness to the whole, which culminates in notes of sweet spices and roasted dried fruit. A chalky minerality, typical of wines from the Champagne region, leads the whole beautifully.

About the Producer Miraval
You perhaps didn’t expect to hear us talking about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie at iDealwine…but there’s a first time for everything! The Hollywood stars got their hands on the magnificent Provençal Château Miraval in Correns (Var) a few years ago. Not being wine experts themselves, they entrusted the Perrin family, a veritable Rhône institution, to guide them. Much more than a whim, the wines produced here have now attained worldwide recognition, and the estate’s rosé was awarded World’s Best Rosé by the trustworthy Wine Spectator. In the glass, we find all the finesse and elegance that we love in a regional rosé thanks to their delicate vinification process.
Miraval is also a location closely linked to the arts by its owners, who seek to continue doing so, in particular with the famous Studio Miraval?–?a recording studio founded in 1977 and frequented by some of the greatest artists of its time?–?but also with sculpture and painting. Surrounded by pines, olive trees, oaks and vines, this Provençal château is definitely in a class of its own, under the spotlight, often only a short distance away. In 2020, the Pitt family teamed up with Champagne house Pierre Peters to produce a rosé Champagne. The only Champagne house to produce exclusively rosé Champagne.
