More infoThe cuvée Silice is the result of the vinification of organic grapes bought from neighbouring vineyards. These come from the vieilles vignes of Jacquère grown on the slopes of the commune of Apremont. The berries have been vinified naturally and fermentation is triggered by native yeasts. The wine has then been aged for nine months on its lees in vats in order to preserve the freshness of its aromatic notes. On tasting, it has a wonderful pale hue with green tints, a delicate aromatic bouquet (white flowers, fresh almonds) and a delicate and lightly smooth palate.
About the Producer Ardoisières (Domaine des)
The Domaine des Ardoisières was created ex nihilo in 1998 on land that had been planted with vines in Roman times, but which had not produced wine for centuries. Michel Grisard, one of the leading Savoyard producers, was the driving force behind the project for a long time, before handing it over to the current manager, Brice Omont in 2008.
The 24-hectare vineyard is cultivated according to organic principles and vinification is extremely natural with as little intervention as possible. With slopes sometimes reaching a 70% gradient, yields are low and the wines dazzling.
