More infoThe hand-harvested Syrah and Nielluciu are vinified and matured separately. Half is matured in casks (1/3 new casks) and the other half in concrete vats. The nose is intense, the Syrah imparts aromas of violet and blackberry, whereas the Nieulluciu offers notes of stone fruits. The palate is dense, with velvety tannins. The cuvée is complex, with aromas of red and black fruits (raspberry, blackcurrant, blackberry) and spices (liquorice, grey pepper).
About the Producer Clos Poggiale
Clos Poggiale is located at 2,500 metres of altitude on the Pianiccia plateau. The unique soils and microclimate make for a unique terroir, showcased by particularly attentive single-parcel selections. In 2015, Jean-François Renucci began the domain's conversion to organics, gaining certification in 2018.
