A highly aromatically complex wine balanced by spectacular depth of flavour.
More infoThe Albariño vines benefit from a maritime climate and environmentally friendly winegrowing methods that respect biodiversity and adhere to the strict principles of biodynamic viticulture. Neither fertilisers nor chemical weedkillers are used, allowing the fruit to express its natural aromas and personality. In the cellar, vinification is carried out with minimal intervention. The grapes undergo a 20-day alcoholic fermentation using indigenous yeasts naturally present on the berries. The wine is then aged in old French oak casks for three months, followed by a further 11 months or so on the lees. Lastly, the wine is carefully bottled without fining.
The straw yellow colour reveals a nose characterised by scents of lemon, grapefruit and nectarine. In the mouth, aromas of green apples and melon balance beautifully with fine acidity, culminating in a lingering mineral finish.

About the Producer Nanclares y Prieto
The estate, located in the cradle of Albariño, in Spain’s Val do Salnés, comprises five hectares of vines in 15 different parcels. Alberto Nanclares and Silvia Prieto met in 2009, at a tasting organised by Raul Pérez, a leading Bierzo winemaker. Both passionate about wine, they embarked on the ambitious project of producing their own cuvée in 2015. Their approach in both the winery and the vineyard is based on a very low-interventionist philosophy. Each parcel of vines, aged between 30 and 100 years, reaps the benefits of organic methods. The soil is cultivated with the utmost precision without any chemical fertilisers or weedkillers. Once harvested, the grapes are vinified without additives, using minimal doses of sulphur to retain the unique character of the terroir and grape varieties. The result is exceptional wines that will develop their finest nuances over time.
