Intensity
A rich and complex red wine, which emphasises on the robustness of the Pinot Noir.
More infoThese Pinot Noir vines stretch along a unique terrain, ideal for viticulture. The plots nestle close to the Palatinate Forest, along several hillsides, on soils consisting of clay, pebbles and chalk. In the vineyards, everything is designed to protect the soil and biodiversity, allowing the grapes to develop all their aromas naturally. In the winery, the same ethos applies. Following minimal intervention vinification, the wine is aged in French oak casks for 12 months, 30% of which are new.
The wine’s beautiful, deep red colour hints at a powerful bouquet. Indeed, complex aromas of red berries and spices emerge on the nose. Luscious, fruity flavours combine wonderfully with fine tannins and a superb structure leading to a rich, lingering finish. This cuvée has great ageing potential.

About the Producer Friedrich Becker
In 1973, the family farm in the southern part of Germany’s Palatinate-Rhenan region was transformed into a vineyard. Over the years, the estate has developed steadily and now totals almost 14 hectares of vines. With the support of his son Frits and his sister Héléna, Friedrich Becker has earned a reputation for producing Pinot Noir cuvées that rank among Germany’s finest red wines. The Pinot Noir and Riesling vines, averaging 45 years of age, thrive on poor, stony, chalky soils with a high clay content. The vineyard is also protected from strong winds and rain by the Palatinate Forest which acts as a natural barrier. Yields are carefully controlled and a finely balanced viticulture is practised to produce high-quality, concentrated and fragrant grapes for exceptional wines.
