Decadent Drinks are a talented independent bottling company founded by Angus MacRaild, who has a proven track record with a number of spirits, including whiskies. The company has its own philosophy. That philosophy is to favour quality over quantity, and not to take life too seriously, but to embrace it. This quirky aspect is reflected in all the spirits, featuring a familiar sponge character that appears across each cuvée. This particular edition of whisky is aged in a Refill Sherry Butt for 14 years, before the spirit is bottled at 60%.
This highly peated whisky reveals an intense nose of classic smoky aromas, combined with subtle hints of liquorice. On the palate, the peaty character is perfectly balanced with great sweetness, leading to a warm, persistent finish.
