Lot presentation
Château Bellegrave-Jaumard 1964
The wine
This cuvée comes from Merlot and Cabernet Franc grown on a clay and limestone soil. This, combined with vinification and élevage in vats helps preserve the freshness of the fruit. The wine is therefore charming when young and unfurls wonderful aromas of red and black fruit, prunes as well as well integrated silky tannins.
About the Producer Bellegrave-Jaumard
This Saint Emilion domain makes it a point of principle to grow its sixty-year-old vielles vignes on clay and limestone soils using sustainable methods. Vinification and élevage take place in stainless steel vats and the domain produces almost five thousand bottles every year.
