The wine
Although rather sticky-sweet, with rich, honeyed ripe fruit notes, this wine is balanced with a great mineral character and floral notes that endow it with excellent freshness. It can also be enjoyed with sweet and savoury dishes, blue cheeses or fruit desserts.
About the Producer Château de Chamboureau
For the Savennières appellation, Château de Chamboureau is a historic domaine since it was founded over 400 years ago. In 2007, this 18 hectare vineyard was bought by a local businessman, Philip Fournier. Together with Domaine Jo Pithon, it is part of Domaine FL. Comprising several really wonderful parcels on fully south-facing hillside slopes, the vineyard is in part farmed organically.
