Bourgogne La Paulée François Lumpp (Domaine) 2017
The wine
This cuvée was created just recently. From a clay-chalk terroir, it is the product of sustainable growth, total destemming, cold pre-fermentary maceration of between 5 and 10 days, and a cuvaison of three weeks in stainless steel vats. The wine was then matured for a year in oak barrels (70% new wood). Whilst a ‘simple’ Burgundy, this wine is a true gem that nicely balances floral and fruity notes with a crisp texture.
About the Producer François Lumpp
Domaine François Lumpp is one of the flagship areas of the Givry appellation. François Lumpp started working as a wine grower in 1977 with his brother, then separated and created his own domaine in 1991, on 8 hectares of land. The wines he produces show consistent quality and are characterised by fine length on the palate.
