Bandol L'Amourvèdre Les Terres Promises 2014

The wine

As its name suggests, Armourvèdre is a single-variety Mourvèdre cuvée, produced from old vines and vinified using indigenous yeasts. This is a real food-friendly wine with great structure, fine integrated tannins and a supple attack in the mouth which makes it an ideal accompaniment to barbecued red meat. It offers a particularly alluring nose with intense aromas of dark fruit and garrigue which emerge after a good aeration.

About the Producer Les Terres Promises

Jean Christophe Comor started producing his certified organic wines in 2004, following a herculean effort cutting down trees, clearing stumps and preparing the land for replanting vines! One-time parisien and professor at the prestigious Sciences Po university, his winemaking whim has well and truly paid off; now producing wines with a unique character, elegance and complexity and in a style which improves with each vintage. One to watch.
