The wine

A Knockando 1964 Extra Old Reserve Square Decanter bottled in 1986. This is the first bottling from the series, with other versions of the same vintage bottled in 1987, 1988 and 1989. The complete series includes the years 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1972, 1973, 1975. The 1974 vintage was reserved for a bottling celebrating the 500th anniversary of the University of Aberdeen.

Its single malt perfectly embodies the Auld Alliance between France and Scotland, even adopting certain practices from the world of wine and cognac, such as the “Extra Old” appellation and vintage.
