The wine

Port Charlotte is a peated whisky produced at the Bruichladdich distillery. Peated to 40 ppm, it is matured in first and second-fill American whiskey casks, as well as second-fill French wine casks. This edition was launched in 2018 for Feis Ile and follows Scottish Barley, although it is also produced with Scottish barley (grown in Inverness) and Islay spring water.

On 29 May 2001 Bruichladdich began producing Port Charlotte, a whisky peated to 40 ppm. Port Charlotte is now available in a wide range of versions, offering different age statements, casks and barley sources - all accompanying the distillery's other bottlings, Bruichladdich and Octomore.
