(D'un) Verre Printanier Maison Benjamin Kuentz
The wine
(D’’un) Verre Printanier is a whisky produced by the Grallet Dupic distillery (Rozelieures) and bottled by Benjamin Kuentz. It is a blend of whiskies aged for four to six years in cognac and bourbon casks.
About the Producer Grallet Dupic
The Grallet distillery was founded in Lorraine in 1860. It originally focused on the production of brandies from fruits such as the Mirabelle plum. Hubert Grallet and Christophe Dupic decided they wanted to produce whisky in the 1990s, however, and put their plan into action the following decade. They already owned 180 hectares of land for growing barley and all that remained was to learn how to make whisky. Their method follows the same processes used in Scotland and includes double distillation. Various types of cask are used for maturation, including some built from local oak trees.
