The wine

A baijiu produced by Wuliangye Yibin (Sichuan province), one of the world’’s oldest producers of alcoholic beverages. The group employs 50,000 people and owns some of the oldest fermentation pits in the world dating from the Ming Dynasty. Wuliangye, one of the group’’s brands, is a baijiu (“white liqueur”) produced from five grains, sorghum, rice, glutinous rice, wheat and maize. This is the Crystal version, in the strong style. Baijius are classed into four different aroma profiles, light, strong, rice and sauce (jiang).
