A Del Maguey mezcal produced in San Pedro Taviche by mezcalero Alberto Hernandez Luis from various varieties of wild agave, including Espadin, Tobala, Tobasiche and Tepextate.
About the Producer Del Maguey
Del Maguey was founded in 1995 by Ron Cooper, an artist who developed relationships with the local Zapotecs. Del Maguey mezcals are produced on family-run farms in villages in Oaxaca and Puebla, using traditional methods. The labels are designed by Los Angeles artist Ken Price, a friend Ron Cooper first met as his neighbour in California in the 1960s. Del Maguey was bought by the Pernod Ricard group in 2017.
