The wine
A single cask (#11140748) of the Taiwanese whisky Omar distilled in 2014, matured in a bourbon cask and bottled in 2017. A limited edition of 239 bottles.
About the Producer Nantou Distillery
The Nantou distillery was founded by the Taiwan tobacco & Liquor Corporation (TTL) in 2008 in the Taiwanese town of the same name. It is surrounded by mountains that supply the distillery’s water. The first single malt was released in 2013 and the range was launched in 2015 with two editions, one matured in bourbon casks, the other in sherry casks. The whisky is bottled under the brand name Omar, which is Gaelic for “amber”.
