The wine

A blend of two casks of Guyana rum distilled in 2005 and bottled in 2017. The Transcontinental Rum Line range was created by La Maison du Whisky and inspired by the journeys taken by rums between the Caribbean and Europe. The label states how much time was spent ageing in a continental climate, in this case 95%, i.e. 11 years in a continental climate versus one year in a tropical climate. La Maison du Whisky is a whisky and spirits importer and distributor founded by Georges Bénitah in 1956.

In the interests of transparency, every bottling in the series notes the proportion of maturation carried out in a continental climate.
