The wine
A La Favorite rhum agricole distilled in 2016 and bottled at cask strength in 2022, aged in bourbon casks. A limited edition of 5,500 bottles.
About the Producer La Favorite
Named in tribute to Napoleon, who is said to have cried “this spirit will be my favourite” when he first tasted the spirit, the La Favorite distillery is located at the entrance to Fort de France, Martinique. Founded in 1842, Habitation La Favorite originally produced cane sugar. When it was bought by Henri Dormoy, it was modernized and turned into a distillery. It was equipped with a steam machine which is still in service today. Production is aged primarily in ex-cognac casks.
